Ibanez is proud to introduce the Junior size acoustic guitar into the AE lineup. The compact body enables guitarists to both carry and play it in several situations on the couch, outdoors, on stage, and at smaller, lighthearted and fun events where a full size acoustic is not necessary. The 607mm short scale, allow less string tension, making it easier for beginners to press on the strings and also the compact body serves to make it easier to hold the guitar. It suits all the demands of a beginner guitarist, but at the same time it is also designed for the most demanding masters of the instrument.
The combination of the specially designed Scalloped X Bracing and Tone Projection Back Bracing produce a very versatile sound character and provide a rich sustain that works for both finger-style and with a plectrum. Also Solid Sitka Spruce top and Mahogany back and sides deliver a well-balanced sound and an enormous frequency range. The open pore natural finish contributes to the guitar's natural wooden touch, good resonance and lighter weight. The lightweight open gear tuners perfectly balance the guitars weight distribution. A bone nut and saddle were chosen for their ability to transfer the string vibration naturally. For electronics, the combination of the very compact and lightweight Ibanez Custom electronics and Ibanez T-bar undersaddle pickup provide a natural acoustic tone and support performances on stage, from solos to ensembles. The fretboard inlay has a delicate but dynamic design. The wooden inlays give a sophisticated feel to the guitar. A padded Gig bag is included.
